Volunteer With Us

The Twala Trust offers a personal and unique volunteer experience for dedicated animal lovers. We also offer volunteer programmes tailor made for those studying or working in the fields of veterinary science and animal care.

With a maximum of 6 volunteers on the programme at one time, volunteers are assured of a genuine and ethical experience that will leave them with a real sense of living and working in a dedicated African animal sanctuary.

With over 50 species of indigenous and exotic animals and birds resident at the sanctuary, and a busy wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre, the work is varied, rewarding and hands on. Volunteers work closely with the Twala team at all times, ensuring that animal welfare is always a priority.

Our free community veterinary clinic and other outreach programmes give volunteers an opportunity to experience and understand rural life and animal care in Zimbabwe
